Ingredients and spices that need to be Take to make Mango Besan Laddu:

  1. 1 Cup Besan/Gram Flour
  2. 1/8 tsp Salt
  3. 1 Cup Condensed Milk/Castor Sugar (Any One)
  4. 1/2 Cup Semolina/Suji: Fine One
  5. 1 Cup Fresh Mango Purée: AamRas
  6. 1/2 tsp Green Cardamom Powder
  7. 1/2-3/4 Cup Ghee: To be used in 2 Batches
  8. 1/8 Cup Pistachios: Slit into Halves- Horizontally- (Garnish)
  9. 2 Silver Paper (Chandi ka Vark): Optional- (Garnish)

Steps to make to make Mango Besan Laddu

  1. Firstly, heat up a frying pan over the medium flame: Add in the Suji/Semolina & dry roast it until light golden brown & then, add in all the aforementioned ingredients (except the mango purée) and mix everything well together until nicely combined and well blended
  2. Once the mixture thickens & kind of binds up together... gently, starts releasing the oil & the mixture leaves the pan/pot easily- Turn off the flame and allow it to sit on the hot oven itself while we’re preparing the Aamras
  3. Heat up pot/saucepan: Add in the blended mango purée and mix some sugar to it & gently keep stirring continuously so as to avoid sticking to the bottom of the pan- This might take about 7-8 mins time for the purée to thicken & reduce in its original quantity
  4. Add in the reserved ghee to it & cook it for another 5-6 mins time until it forms kinda one string consistency- turn off the flame and let it cool down a bit before mixing it to the already prepared Besan pan

  8. Now, once both the mixtures have been cooled down a bit- Now, mix it with the prepared Besan mixtures & again turning on the flame to the low heat, we need to mix the entire mixture together until nicely combined and well blended & the flavours are incorporated in the same

Now, once the mixture starts leaving the pan & forms into a smooth & soft & an uniform dough like stuff- Now, is the good time to put off the flame & let it cool down for a while & then dividing it into the lemon sized balls in between the palms & rolling it into a round smooth LADDO shape structures, repeat the same with all the portions (for me it’s 18 balls/Laddus)
  10. Garnish it with the halved pistachios/almonds, etc. Can also use the edible silver papers on it (I’ve used the Vegan/plant-based ones) but that’s completely optional though &..... ENJOY
