- Heat the ghee in a kadai and put grinded dal in it and stir it continuously and cook it on low flame. When the dal starts loosing the ghee in the kadai then add Mawa in it and mix it well and stir it continuously. After 5 - 10 minutes when the Mawa gets cooked then add sugar in it and mix it well.
- When the mixture gets loosing the kadai then add dry fruits and cardamom powder in it and mix it well and turn off the gas stove.
- Take a bowl and put all pie ingredients in it and crumbled. Now add chilled water little by little in it and mix it well. Combine the mixture and wrap it in the plastic cover and keep it in the fridge for 1/2 hour. After 1/2 hour take out the dough in the fridge and roll it in round shape Chapati.
- Take a pie mould and grease it with butter. Put the prepared Chapati on the pie mould and give the dough the shape of the pie and put the mixture of moong dal in the pie.
- Now take the remaining dough and roll it and cut it in thin strips and cover the pie with the help of thin strips.
- Then take three strips from the dough and make a braid and cover the corners of the pie with the braided strips.
- Take a kadai and put the baking stand in it and cover it and preheat the kadai on medium flame for 10 minutes and after 10 minutes put the pie mould on the baking stand and cover it and bake it for 35-40 minutes on low to medium flame.
- When it gets brown in colour then turn off the gas stove and let it cool down. Take out the pie and garnish with some almond flakes and raisins and serve it.
