- 1 kg Carrots grated thinly
- 1 litre Full fat Milk
- 1/2 tin Condensed Milk
- 1/4 cup Sugar
- 1/4 tsp Cardamom powder
- 4-5 Saffron strands
- 4-5 tbsp Ghee
- 1/4 cup Slivered Almonds and Pistachios
Steps to make to make Kadai Gajar Ka Halwa
- Cook Carrots and Milk in a large Kadai half covered for about 15 minutes or so on a low heat. Do not cook on a high heat. The Carrots will be tender and soft in no time at all.
- Now add the rest of the ingredients except the last one and mix well. Increase the heat to a high and cook until Sugar dissolves and a nice aroma starts emanating. Keep stirring it every now and then to ensure even cooking. In about 15 minutes or a little more, Ghee starts leaving the sides.
