  3. 1 cup curd

  9. 1 pinch hing
  10. 1 green chilli chopped
  11. 1 tsp mustard seeds
  12. 1/2 tsp cumin seeds (jeera)

  14. 4 tbsp oil
  15. 20 curry leaves
  16. leaves As required coriander
  17. as required Sprinkle water
  18. 1 tbsp Eno
  19. 1 tsp baking soda

Steps to make to make Dhokla Candy

  1. In a large mixing bowl add semolina(suji), besan, curd, salt, turmeric powder, ginger-garlic grated, hing, green chilli and mix everything well. Add water if the batter is thick to make free flow. Beat the batter in one direction for a few seconds. Once the batter is smooth keep it for 1 hour to ferment the batter.
  2. When the latter is ready add Eno and baking soda. Grease the mould of your choice and pour the batter into idli vessels. Cook idli vessel on medium-low flame for 10 minutes.
  3. Secondly, if you are making dhokla candy microwave for 4 minutes.
  4. For tadka take a kadhai to add oil and mustard seeds. Once the seeds crackle adds cumin seeds, sliced green chillies, til, curry leaves, coriander leaves and sprinkle water.
  5. Garnish your dhokla with the tadka to give it a nice flavour.
  6. Serve warm or at room temperature.
