- Now we will prepare the sugar syrup. For that in a bowl, add sugar, water, kesar, elaichi powder and a pinch of orange food colour. Mix everything well and switch on the gas until the sugar is melted properly. Keep this syrup aside.
- Now add some ghee in a pan and fry the dry-fruits and keep it aside.
- Now let's add some more ghee (half cup) in a pan. Then add rava and besan in it. Mix them well and fry for about a minute. Keep the flame low. Then in it add the moong dal paste.
- Quickly mix it with the ghee or else it would start forming lumps. Keep the flame low throughout the process. Fry the moong dal paste until it starts changing its colour and becomes sandy in texture. It will take nearly 15 to 20 mins.
- Heat the sugar syrup once and add the it into the pan. Give it a mix then add fried dry-fruits in it. Mix everything well and cook it on a low flame until you get a desired colour (golden brown) and the ghee will start releasing.
