- Cholay ka salan :
- 2 tbsp oil
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
- 1/2 tsp red chilli flakes
- 1 tbsp oil
- 1/2 tsp kashmiri red chilli powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp haldi
- 1.5 cups boiled chickpeas
- 1 cup water
- Cornflour as required
- Sooji halwa :
- 1/2 cup semolina
- 1/4 cup ghee
- 2 green cardamoms
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup water
- 1/4 tsp orange colour
- 1/4 tsp besan
- 1 tbsp desicated coconut
Instructions to make to make Halwa poori platter
- For pooris mix all the ingredients and form a dough by adding lukewarm water gradually
- Set aside for 10 minutes then feep fry in hot oil.
- For aloo bhujiya put everything in a pot except cornflour and let it cook until potatoes are tender.
- Add cornflour to thicken the bhujiya
- For cholay fry cumin in oil.
- Then add spices and chickpeas and cook for 10 minutes
- Add water and let it cook until chickpeas are softer
- Add dissolved cornflour to thicken it.
- Prepare tarka by adding oil and kashmiri chilli together
- Pour over the chickpeas curry.
- Prepare sooji halwa. Melt ghee in a pot and add cardamoms
- Add sooji and cook for a minute
- Then add desicated coconut and besan.
- Prepare sheera by adding sugar and water and cook until sugar is dissolved
- Now add this sheera to the sooji pot
- Add food colouring and cook until sooji is tender and ghee separates
- Serve hot
- Prepare a platter by serving all quantities and enjoy
