  1. 1/2 cup jaggery
  2. 1/2 cup sesame seeds
  3. 1 tbsp ghee

  1. Heat a pan and dry roast sesame seeds till seeds start crackle.Take out and keep aside.
  2. In the same pan add jaggery, and heat on medium flame till jaggery melts. Do not overheat.
  3. Add ghee to jaggery. Test for the jaggery, whether it's perfectly cooked or not.
  4. For this take 1/2cup water and drop some drops of jaggery into water.If jaggery do not hreaks in pieces and stuck to finger then it is not perfect for making chikki.
  5. Cook jaggery for 1-2minutes more,test again.Jaggery is brittle now,and is broken into pieces easily.
  6. Put off flame and add sesame seeds to jaggery. Transfer to a greased board and roll with a greased rolling pin.
  7. I've sprinkled some more sesame seeds over the sheet to give the chikki a beautiful look.
  8. Cut chikkies into your desired shapes,let it cool a little bit. Remove from board.
  9. Till-gud chikki is ready to serve.Enjoy.
